Toastmasters District 216

Become a Toastmaster

Build confidence in public speaking and leadership in a supportive, low-cost setting. You can visit a club for free before you join.

What to expect

Every club has its own style

Every club is a little different, and that’s the point. Meetings usually run from an hour to about ninety minutes — some clubs are formal and structured, others relaxed and conversational. Many meet in person, while others meet online or in a hybrid format you can join from anywhere. What they all share is the Toastmasters Pathways learning program: a flexible, self-paced way to build public-speaking and leadership skills on your own terms, in the direction you want to grow. The best way to find your fit is to visit a meeting as a guest and see the style for yourself.
What it costs

Simple, affordable membership

Membership has two parts: dues paid to Toastmasters International, and dues set by your local club.

International dues
$60 / 6 months

Paid to Toastmasters International

Covers your membership, learning materials, and the Pathways education program. Renews every six months.

New-member fee
$25 one-time

When you first join

A one-time fee charged the first time you sign up as a new member.

Club dues
Varies

Set by your club

Some clubs add a small supplemental fee to cover things like meeting space or refreshments. Your club can tell you the exact amount.

Your first payment

$85

$25 new-member fee  +  $60 first six months of dues  =  $85 to get started, plus any club dues.

Good to know: International dues and the new-member fee are paid to Toastmasters International (in U.S. dollars). Club dues, if any, are paid to your local club and vary by location. After your first six months, you renew just the $60 international dues each period.
